Cornish Drinks
Here at The Old Quay House we offer a wide variety of exceptional Cornish spirits, beers and ciders which are gradually growing and forever changing. Take pleasure in enjoying some of our special drinks by our waterside beer garden looking over the panoramic view of the estuary, whilst the youngsters are entertained by our fun outdoor play zone. Or relax in our warm and welcoming bar area.
Our fever-tree gin menu contains distinctive Cornish Gins offering advice on great pairings, giving a twist on your average G&T. To offer we have a whole variety of Tarquin’s Gins, St Ives, Caspyn, Jynerva, Trevethan, Elemental and Fowey River Gins.
Have you ever tried a colour changing gin?
Come and try Oreg Gin. The colour comes from blue pea, lavender and hibiscus flowers, and it changes the colour from blue to purple when adding your tonic.
Onto the rum, Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum is a popular drink that is full of exotic flavours, just like the unique Coyaba Pineapple Rum which began its life in the Caribbean before being brought to Cornwall. This rum is best served with ginger beer and a wedge of lime.
Cider is the perfect summer drink and we sell one of the most popular award winning Cornish Ciders. Rattler is a cloudy drink made from apples with a fresh and feisty bite.
We have a range of draught Cornish Beers with different tastes and flavours, with varying availability throughout the year. You may find Doom Bar which is an amber ale and has a succulent dried fruit and a lightly roasted malt taste with a moreish finish. Offshore Pilsner which is a crisp a light pale beer that leaves you feeling refreshed especially when enjoying the Cornish weather in our estuary view beer garden.
